The itinerary of your journey
Arrival
Arrival is usually via Algiers with a connecting flight to Djanet in southern Algeria. At the airport there is the opportunity to exchange money and prepare for the onward journey. After arrival in Djanet, there is time to settle in and gather first impressions of the surroundings. Depending on the itinerary, overnight accommodation is in a hotel before the tour begins.
Start of the Journey
After preparation in Djanet, the tour into the desert begins. Depending on the type of journey, the start is on foot, by camel or by off-road vehicle. Equipment is distributed and organized for the coming days. With departure, a clear transition emerges from everyday life into the tranquility of the desert.
On the Move in the Desert
The stages lead through changing landscapes of sand dunes, rock formations and wide plains. Depending on the tour, there is hiking, riding or part of the route is covered by vehicle. Along the way, new perspectives and impressions of the surroundings continually emerge. Movement through the landscape thus becomes a central part of the journey.
Daily Rhythm
The days follow a clear sequence of departure, movement and fixed rest periods. The morning begins early and quietly, often accompanied by the light of the rising sun. Over time, a rhythm develops that feels simple and natural. This routine provides orientation without being rigid.
Midday & Breaks
At midday, the group reaches the camp for an extended break. The meal is freshly prepared and taken together. Afterwards, there is time to rest, read or explore the surroundings. This phase forms a fixed component of the day and provides recovery.
Evenings & Camp
In the evening, the night camp is prepared and a suitable place to sleep is chosen. The shared evening meal marks the conclusion of the day. Afterwards, time emerges for conversation, tea and being together at the campsite. The tranquility of the surroundings and the view of the starry sky characterize these hours.
Return
At the end of the journey, the route leads back to Djanet. There is time to shower, reorganize and for final errands. After farewell to the team, preparation for the return flight follows. The journey ends with the return via Algiers towards home.
