Our tours
in the Sahara
Experience a unique desert journey in Algeria.
How we travel in the desert
Trekking
On foot through the desert, accompanied by camels or vehicles that transport the equipment.
The stages are designed for walking and lead through varied landscapes.
You can find impressions and insights from our tours in our galleries.
Riding camel
Travel with your own riding camel, while luggage and equipment are transported by vehicles. The distances are designed so that most of the time is spent riding, with a calmer pace of movement.
You can find impressions and insights from our tours in our galleries.
Touring
In a 4×4, we cross different regions of the Sahara and travel to selected places. The vehicles offer the advantage of covering long distances and experiencing the desert’s great diversity. There will also be time for exploration and shorter walks on foot.
You can find impressions and insights from our tours in our galleries.

Travel Report
This was already my fourth trip with Sahara Reise, and it certainly won’t be the last. The landscapes of Tassili n’Ajjer, with their rock formations and paintings, impressed me once again—every tour feels different and remains something special.
Tahar organised the trip superbly and was present at all times, while Inés supported us with planning and flights in advance. You feel well looked after from the very beginning.

On the road in the Sahara
Insights into the itinerary
The trip begins in Djanet and leads from there into the desert, accompanied by our team and a clear daily rhythm. Between movement, breaks and shared evenings, a routine gradually develops that quickly feels familiar. We show you in detail what the individual stages look like and what to expect along the way in the impressions. And thanks to our local team members, it’s also an ideal way to get to know the local culture and people.
Impressions of the desert
The landscapes, colours and moods of the Sahara are hard to put into words. Our impressions give you an insight into the different regions and moments of the trip. They show you the diversity of the landscape and the special situations that arise along the way.
